About the Mediator - Susan Salvucci

Susan Salvucci earned her J.D., cum laude, in 1984 from Whittier College School of Law, now located in Costa Mesa, California.  She is admitted to practice law in California, Texas and the District of Columbia.  She has taken specialized courses in mediation through the State Bar of California and has completed a certificated 40 hour mediation course at Pepperdine University School of Law Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.  She is voluntarily on inactive status in Texas and the District of Columbia.  Susan is on the Kern County Court's approved panel of mediators.

Over the past 20 years, Susan has been an active litigator in the personal injury, property damage, product liability, employment, environmental law, construction and business transactional areas.  Susan has experienced litigation from both the plaintiff's and defendant's perspectives while employed as corporate counsel, as well as while as an associate and senior associate at two California law firms.

Susan is businesslike, neutral, objective and cooperative.  Her approach to mediation is low-key and incorporates logic, wit, humor and intelligence.  She employs casual but structured methods to motivate the parties and their attorneys to relax and eliminate hostilities that may have previously existed.  Her objective is to get the parties to cooperate and solve their disputes rather than continue to argue.  She respects all parties concerned.  Efficiency is emphasized.

Allow Susan's experience on both sides of the table to shorten your preparation time with her mediation skills.  Contact Bakersfield Settlement Center today.
