 Fees and ExpensesBy all accounts, mediation is far more economical for all parties than the costs of a trial or retaining a judge as a mediator. Compare the expenses for yourself or give Bakersfield Settlement Center a call for some recent comparisons. The financial advantage of having Bakersfield Settlement Center mediate for you is clear.
Deposit of $300 due at time of mediation appointment reservation*. Deposit is nonrefundable and due one week in advance of mediation appointment. Deposit requirement is subject to change without notice. Please contact Bakersfield Settlement Center to verify current deposit requirements and rates. Cancellations Cancellations are accepted by telephone only, at least 24 hours in advance. Deposit will not be refunded.
Payment Payment accepted by checks only. Each party to pay pro-rata share unless otherwise agreed upon between the parties. Thirty days net.
Expenses To be reimbursed at cost.
Multilingual Capabilities An interpreter will be employed as needed. Each party agrees to pay pro-rata costs, unless otherwise agreed upon between the parties prior to mediation.
Arbitration Fees High-low binding arbitration only.
Additional Services Additional services, such as the provision of food and beverages, can be provided upon request with advance noticed:
